Credit card faithfulness

Getting your credit card skimmed is a very humiliating experience. Nobody really believes you or trusts you and you second guess yourself a lot. You want your card issuing agency to believe you, and if you have a wonderful track record with them, you'd think you have a relationship.

But the reality is, you are just a consumer and this is business. Nothing personal and truly it is not a personal thing. I accept that, just as I accept that if you have an automobile accident you may see your premium inflate. And if you have been a law abiding citizen but fail in one aspect or make a mistake in public, nothing about past faithfulness really matters.

So, why this depressing discussion about faithfulness? It's the glorious 4th on Monday and we will hear all about the faithfulness of those who've gone before us and given their last measure of life to defend our freedoms.

Past faithfulness for present whatever. What are you doing to commemorate the faithfulness of those who gave up themselves for our freedoms? Declaration and constitution faithfulness is not guaranteed unless citizens are willing to be as faithful to abide and defend our rights.

We can't and shouldn't swipe our "rights" card and expect that someone else will pay for it. We are the ones who have the responsibility to keep the debt payed. Think about it: you don't do this just for yourself, but for those who will come later.

You're in my prayers as we move forward toward the present future.
